Huddersfield Town vs Manchester United Pre Match Analysis

Image result for huddersfield vs manchester united

Well it wasn't the prettiest game in the Champions League but a win's a win and now Manchester United will face newly-promoted Huddersfield Town who are looking for their first win since August and their first point since thd 23rd of September against Burnley. While Huddersfield are struggling to regain their August form, Manchester United look to use the 1-0 away win against Benfica as a foothold to keeping up with the noisy neighbours as their dire stalemate at Anfield pegged them two points behind City and they need a big win to keep up with them. Moreover with Spurs breathing down the Red Devils' necks, Jose Mourinho will be expected to bring back the dazzling football that he began this season with.

Huddersfield Town are without Michael Hefele and Jon Stankovic for some time still and with Collin Quaner and Kasey Palmer pushing to be fit for Saturday it would seem that Australian star Aaron Mooy will look to return to the first team lineup after starting sub against Swansea.

Manchester United now add Marcus Rashford to the now seven-man injury list to become the most injured Premier League team for the current time, meaning Anthony Martial will hope to make successive Premier League starts for the first time this season and the chance for either Young or Lingard to replace Juan Mata who played averagely mid-week. Phil Jones and Matteo Darmian will hope to replace Victor Lindelof and Daley Blind respectively in defence to make the same back seven (as such) that started at Anfield. Finally, Romelu Lukaku will hope to finally break his mini-drought having been absent against Benfica and missing his only chance against Anfield by forcing a rather standard save from Belgian compatriot Simon Mignolet.
The last time these teams faced eachother was 1972

Manchester United look too solid in defence to concede against Huddersfield and will hope that the forward players will deliver as they have done consistently all season and gain a much needed three points in the Premier League.

Predicted Lineups:

Huddersfield Town:
Lossl, Smith, Zanka, Schindler, Malone, Hogg, Mooy, La Parra, Ince, Kachunga, Depoitre

Manchester United:
De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Darmian, Matic, Herrera, Martial, Mkhitaryan, Young, Lukaku
