Manchester United vs West Bromwich Albion Preview

Manchester United take on West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford on the 34th game-week of the season. With the title all but wrapped up, there is very little to play for. Almost every team, apart from the relegation threatened sides, have a clear idea as to where they'll finish. This is a time for analysis and scrutinizing your mistakes.

Therefore, this blog will talk about how we should use the last few games of the season. This is an important time leading up to the transfer season and ultimately the next season too. In my opinion, Jose Mourinho should use this time to look up on new strategies, formations, and playing styles that'd win us the title next season.

Like we did against City, I feel Jose should continue using Pogba in the advanced roles. That gives him more freedom to express himself and a more active role in the attacks that develop. This will strengthen the need of a new defensive midfielder who plays the role of the midfield general. Someone like Fabinho, or Jean Seri to play alongside McTominay would be great.

Another area I think we should work on is giving playing time to the likes of Angel Gomes, Indy Boonen, and Tahith Chong. These lads are doing very well for the U23s and the U18s. Ethan Hamilton is another youngster I'd like to see get some more game time.

Along with these, we should play Martial and Rashford extensively over the last few games. That will give them a sense of confidence. One thing we fear a lot is losing Anthony Martial to another club. The world has seen his potential and it is scary. A couple of years of good coaching and we have a proper world beater in our hands. Anyway, let's go to the lineups now.

Let us take a look at the team that should face West Brom on Sunday.

Goalkeeper: Next.

Defenders: I'd love to see a Bailly-Lindelof partnership at the back, in the future. This seems like a good time to give them time to get the communication and understanding between them, spot on. At left back, I really hope Luke Shaw gets to start. I have a soft spot for him, but lets be real. We all know it's going to be Ashley Young.

Midfielders: I want to see the same midfield that faced Manchester City last week. Herrera was immense and showed exactly why he should be trusted for the big games, the games that require the nerves. After that performance, dropping him would be sinful.

Forwards: The forward line needs to be altered, but ever so slightly. Sanchez deserves to start because of his current form. I hope to see Martial starting on the left flank and Sanchez on the right. After about 60 minutes, if we're in a comfortable position, Chong or Gomes should be brought on. It'll do them a world of good to be with the first team and rub shoulders with some real Premier League footballers.

Lineup: De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw; McTominay, Matic, Pogba; Martial, Lukaku, Sanchez.

Score Prediction: 3-0

Anyway, that was my pre-game analysis of the match tomorrow. I hope for a great result and positive factors from the game. It should be looked at as a practice game before the semi final of the FA Cup against Spurs. However, that is a while away so lets just concentrate on this game. GGMU!
