Manchester United vs Burnley: What We Learned.

Manchester continue their unbeaten run today against Burnley but Sean Dyche's side puts an end to United's wining streak as the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw at home. A frustrating afternoon for the Red Devils but they leave Old Trafford tonight with a point. A goal from Pogba from the spot and Victor Lindelof's late equalizer is what held us together.

Although it was a bit hard to pick things out from this match tonight, there are some things that stood out for me and here are some points we've learned from tonight's game.

Andreas Pereira Not Good Enough.

 Pereira had his first start for Manchester United since who knows when and it looks like it could be his last, let alone if he will play again for the Red Devils. Andreas lost the ball in our half which led to the opening goal for Burnley. Absolute disappointing performance from him. In my opinion, he should be sold before Fellaini.

Herrera Energy Missing.

 It's without a doubt that Ander Herrera is a key figure in Ole's Manchester United System and today it showed that as they looked lost in the midfield and there was not much drive from Andreas, who replaced Herrera this evening.

Burnley Defense Solid.

 Yes, Manchester United were full on attacking and asking questions of their defense but I have to give credit where it is due, Burnley's back line was on full lock-down this game as they would clear the ball and forced us to make mistakes and forced us to shoot from distance but that was until the very end where Man United managed to tie it up 2-2.

Heaton Over Pickford. 

 This is just because he had a very good game against Man United but Tom Heaton saved Burnley many times throughout this game and if I were Gareth Southgate, I'd definitely keep an eye on him.

Ice-Man Is Real.

 If Ice-Man from the comics were real, it would be Victor Lindelof as he comes though again for Manchester United and this time it wasn't just the brave defending, Lindelof scored the equalizer in stoppage time to rescue a point and keep the unbeaten run alive for the Reds. For sure, our best CB at Manchester United.

Typical Manchester United Fashion. 
Every-time it seems like Man Utd are finished and written off, they rise right back up. It seemed like we would win this comfortably but that obviously was not the case tonight as we scraped away with a point but the important thing is that we didn't lose and we walk away with a point. Loved the fight and the lads showed desire to get back into the game.

Manchester United Players on International Duty

The international break is thankfully upon us, at least we have time to recover after a very horrendous past weeks. Nine of our players have been called up by their countries for international break.
Who are the players who were called Up? Marcos Rojo was called for Argentina's upcoming friendlies against Germany and Ecuador Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford were called up for the England squad Euro 2020 qualifiers where they will face Czech Republic and Bulgaria. On loan goalkeeper Dean Henderson, was also called in what is his first England senior call-up following the withdrawal of Tom Heaton through injury. Scott McTominay, our September player of the month was called up to the squad for Scotland.  Unfortunately, he is suspended for the Russia match after picking up three bookings, but he will be available for their next game. David De Gea was called for Spain's games against Norway and then against Sweden. Victor Lindelof was selected in Sweden's squad for their two …

The international break is a time that football fans world wide enjoy reflecting on the season  assessing and debating how their teams have performed thus far. Teams hold their collective breath that players gone off to play internationals return unscathed and fully fit to play for their respective clubs.  As a full fledged passionate Manchester United fan its been a time of reflection and concern.  Manchester United  is a club  trying to  rebuild the "Glory Days"  with one of their own at the helm  in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer  at the helm. Scott McTominay's career has been on a steady upwards trajectory ever since Jose Mourinho named the relatively unknown, gangly young midfielder as a substitute in a Premier League match against Swansea back in April 2017. It was hard to tell from his first few appearances whether he was destined for regular first team football, although Mourinho insisted that he had all the tools and was almost certain to reach the top. Another disappointing result for Manchester United away from home as a superb strike from Matty Longstaff sank United's injury-hit side. Here's how it happened:

Manchester United made a host of changes to the side that draw to Alkmaar with only De Gea, Dalot and Fred keeping their places. Manchester United u23’s had to settle for a hard-fought point on Friday night as they came back to draw 1-1 against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, thanks to Largie Ramazini’s first goal at u23 level.
It was a week that United’s academy staff would have been proud to see after regular options for Ricky Sbragia were not considered because of their involvement in Paris during the week. Brandon Williams, James Garner, Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong, and Mason Greenwood will all have benefited hugely from the experience in one the most memorable nights in the club's history of knockout football in Europe.
This meant Sbragia had to rely on his midfield consisting of a trio from the under 18’s- Ethan Galbraith, Dylan Levitt, and Aliou Traore. Centre back Di’Shon Bernard and Ramazini were also selected.

Old Trafford has been home to Manchester United's since 1910, but in recent years the stadium has been neglected by the owners of the club making one of the most impressive and largest stadiums in the country in the last 20 years, into an out of date stadium which while still beloved by the fans of the club doesn't have the same draw that it used to from fans of the sport.

The stadium hasn't been left in complete disarray with Old Trafford undergoing several expansions in the 1990s, and 2000s, including the addition of extra tiers to the North, West and East Stands making the stadium's capacity 74,879, the largest capacity club ground in the UK. However, there is so much more that could be done and developed which has been completely ignored by the board and owners. A club as big as Manchester United and with the worldwide fanbase it has, could easily fill a stadium with a capacity of over 100,000. AZ Alkmaar vs. Manchester United - Match Analysis and Player Ratings

Manchester United's struggles continued on Thursday night in the Netherlands, with the performance very much resembling the state of AZ Alkmaar's temporary pitch: sloppy, rough, untidy. The Reds will come back home with a draw, which, all in all, is not the worst result — but the performance once again left much to be desired.

As the final whistle blew after what was a very lacklustre game in which United seemed closer to losing than winning, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men failed to register a single shot on target — further emphasizing the evident problem's in the final third, and once again raising the question of how did the board get away without signing a centre attacking midfielder and a striker in the summer? Looking at the team's regression since the Chelsea game, it just seems like complete incompetence from the people in charge at this point.

Brighton: 10/10

 The ongoing drama at Tottenham aside, that is a fantastic result for Brighton who picked up only their second win of the season. The other took place on opening day, meaning it was a huge relief for the Seagulls to get back into the win column. The performance was also there. The hosts overwhelmed the struggling Spurs, pouncing on all of their mistakes and securing a potential momentum shifting win.
