Manchester United Vs Fulham Player Ratings

Manchester United and Jose Mourhino are back to winning ways with a huge win at Old Trafford when they hosted Fulham over the weekend, inspired by Marcus Rashford who led them to a 4-1 win against The Cottagers. Rashford scored a screamer from outside the box and was also involved in two other goals for Man United (2 assists). But not only did Rashford steal the show, a young Portuguese by the name of Diogo Dalot made a statement and I'm sure many supporters including myself, fell in love with his performance.

Yes, I know it's still a bit too early but the kid showed very promising potential and other than Marcus Rashford, Diogo Dalot stood out for everyone and was named Man Of The Match against Fulham.

On the other hand, Ashley Young had a good game as well as he got on the score sheet with an outrageous goal with Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata also managing to find the back of the net as well. Also, Paul Pogba did not make the starting Xl nor even a cameo in the fixture against Fulham. No Pogba, No Pogblem.

But down below is how I rate the Manchester United Players over the 4-1 win over the weekend.

David De Gea: 6
De Gea had very little to do other than a penalty awarded to Fulham.

Diogo Dalot: 8
The young Portuguese was outstanding against Fulham, sprinting down the right flanks whenever he could and would whip in deadly crosses and which somehow nobody would pick up (must not be use to so many crosses, unfortunately). Dalot was handling Ryan Sessegnon very well and probably spent most of the match down in Fulham's end. I personally think if Utd had anyone to pick up Dalot's crosses, he'd been top in assists in the league. Viva Diogo!

Chris Smalling: 6.5
Chris Smalling handled Mitrovic well throughout the game before he was taken off via injury, handled his own well and wasn't really troubled by his former team, Fulham.

Phil Jones: 6
I think Jones, like Smalling, had an easy day at the office. Did his part but was caught napping by Ryan Sessegnon once, fortunately there was nothing to it.

Ashley Young: 8
I know many people are sick and tired of this guy but to be fair, he has come through time and time again. Young managed a cracking goal against Fulham early on and kept finding himself at their end. But when 2nd half approached, we saw less of him. But a good performance by him yet again and still, I think him signing a new contact for Man Utd, was very well deserved.

Ander Herrera: 7
If there is anyone who deserves another contract, its Herrera. Busy and energetic all day, other than giving away a penalty for Fulham, he was spectacular at breaking up attacks against Fulham.

Nemanja Matic: 6
Although he hasn't looked all that great this season, he looked well improved this weekend and kept his composure.

Marcus Rashford: 9
Marcus Rashford in my opinion was MOTM. Since coming off of International duty for England, he has really come alive and has also performed much better and I love it. Rashford got himself two assists and a goal against Fulham. If he really got his finishing down, he would be a force! Marcus looked hungry for more but couldn't find the net more than once.

Juan Mata: 8
Every time Man Utd seem to play Mata, they look to be more of an attacking and creative threat. Mata got himself on the score sheet to make it 2-0. Creative and intelligence is what Juan Mata brought.

Jesse Lingard: 7
Again, I think our best bet is when we attack, we have to have Jesse Lingard in the squad. Jesse was full of ideas and making noise everywhere he went on the pitch.

Romelu Lukaku: 7
Big Rom back on the score sheet yet again this week but this time it was at Old Trafford, first goal since March to make it 3-0 in the first 45 minutes. Almost had 2, but still a bit wasteful.

Marcus Rojo: 7
Rojo was solid when coming on the pitch for Chris Smalling.

Fred: 5
Fred didn't add much into the game after being brought on.

Scott McTominay: 5
McTominay could've nearly scored a header when coming but was headed directly to the Fulham GK Rico.
