After the heroics of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer´s  Manchester United at Parc de Prince in Paris and their progression to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, the quarter-final draw would be of extra taste as four English teams progress to the last eight of the tournament.

With a potential Manchester United versus Liverpool or Manchester City quarter-final, the draw could have come to produce a historic knockout game for Manchester United.

And it did, but it will be another giant that will have to be overcome for Manchester United. Manchester United and  FC Barcelona were the only two teams left to be drawn after every over team had been drawn, and sets up a very interesting quarter-final.

FC Barcelona, in the end, cruised by Lyon to book their place in the last eight, whilst Manchester United stunned Paris Saint-Germain to make their way into the quarter-final.

FC Barcelona will undoubtedly be one of Manchester United's toughest tests this season.  They face an in-form Lionel Messi and one of Europe´s strongest teams, with the first being played at Old Trafford on 10 April, and the second leg being played on 16 April at the Camp Nou. The team that progresses from the tie will face either Liverpool or Porto in the semi-finals, potentially providing a nail-biting Manchester United-Liverpool tie.

Twenty years since Ole Gunnar Solskajer scored *that* goal in the Champions League final at the Camp Nou, he will now return in hope of causing another upset, with eyes set on the Champions League semi-final.
