The shrewd approach shown by the Red Devils has inevitably linked them with the enigmatic talent of 24-year-old Adrien Rabiot. The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, similar to his Manchester United counter-part, Ander Herrera, will be a free agent this summer after the expiration of his contract. With Ander Herrera already released by Manchester United and set to sign a contract with the French champions, it has been rumoured Adrien Rabiot, whose PSG contract officially expires on the first of July, maybe heading the other way.
So, who is potentially getting the better player?
Rabiot, who as a kid had a stint at cross-city rivals Manchester City, is a product of PSG's youth system and has been a mainstay in the first team since his debut in 2012. However, his PSG career hit a roadblock, after his refusal to negotiate a new contract with the Parisians was not taken well, he was subsequently left out of their second half of the 2018/2019 campaign. Despite the controversy, Rabiot would be missed at the French capital. Capped 6 times for the French national team, he possesses a fine range of passing from his favoured central-midfield position. He boasts physicality and standing tall at 188 cm, is a monster aerially. His athleticism is a quality that allows him to elude oppositions' press in midfield and at 24, he still has the potential to improve into a genuinely world class player.

Conversely, Rabiot would thrive in this role as he has favoured it throughout his career so far, with his standout performance coming against Barcelona in the 2016/17 season in which the French outfit destroyed the Catalonians 4-0 in the first leg. Rabiot displayed all those qualities with a ranged performance breaking the lines of Barcelona's press with his strong dribbling and technical ability earning him a Man of the Match award.
