Romero - 6
As calm as a day in the office for the Argentine shot stopper, who other than a few routine catches, had virtually nothing to do.

Dalot - 7
The Portuguese wide man did not have enough to do defensively today to show any potential improvements from last season, but looked dangerous as always going forward down that right flank.

Tuanzebe - 7
A very comfortable return to United for the big centre back, showing composure on the ball while also retaining it quickly when pushing up into the middle of the park.

Jones - 7
As is the case for all of the defenders who featured today, United did not get troubled nearly enough for any defensive masterclasses to occur. Quiet day with no mistakes for Jones.

Young - 7
Exchanged a few nice passes with new boy, Daniel James, down the left hand side early on in an overall quiet performance from the first-half captain.

A. Pereira - 6
Looking at the first half lineup, you would have expected Pereira to perhaps be one of the creative sparks for the team. While he was very composed in the middle of the park, the Brazilian didn't offer a whole lot going forward.

Matic - 5
Possibly the weakest link in what was a routine run out for United. Very often looked off pace, and found himself walking in a position from which the Serb is expected to chase every loose ball.

Chong - 6
The young Dutchman looked better during the short period of time in which he switched over to the left wing. Overall though, he didn't offer enough of a threat in a dire first half, and certainly didn't ask as many questions of Perth's defence as United's other winger in James.

Lingard - 7
One of the few players in the first half who looked like he might create something, forcing a good save out of Perth's keeper with a shot from distance. A little sloppy on the ball sometimes, but showed good movement in between the lines.

James - 7
A very promising debut from the young Welshman, particularly early on in the half. Showed off his lightening pace on a couple of occasions with some good runs in behind, and demonstrated his fitness levels with the constant commitment to pressing the Australian side high into their own half.

Martial - 6
One of those quiet evenings for Anthony Martial. Although it has to be said that the service provided to him in that No. 9 role left much to be desired for, he just didn't look interested enough to drop out of his central role in order to get more involved.

SUBS:

J. Pereira - 6
Similarly to his predecessor, the Portuguese keeper was not kept very busy, but he did have more chances to get involved off his line.

Wan-Bissaka - 8
A very promising debut from the newcomer. Despite the low level of opposition, the 21-year-old had some chances to show off his terrific tackling ability, while also nicely joining in on some attacking interplay throughout the half.

Smalling - 7
Again, just not quite enough to do defensively to rate his performance properly, but looked okay on the ball when asked to start United attacks from the back.

Rojo - 6
Despite having a quiet night at the back without a lot of pressing from the opposition, the Argentine managed to squeeze in a few questionable decisions and poor ball giveaways in his 45-minutes on the pitch.

Shaw - 7
The left-back looked fine for the 30-odd minutes that he was on the pitch, before being subbed off due to an apparent knock. He has been one of the very few defensive positives for United in recent years, so hopefully the injury is nothing serious.

Pogba - 7
If this was a training game for anyone, it was as such for Pogba. In full control of the game once he came on, and never required to shift out of first gear. A solid run out for the Frenchman, and hopefully first of many this season.

McTominay - 7
The Scot looked much better than Matic in a similar role after replacing him at half-time. Much more dynamic on the ball, showing the desire to win in it back and quickly push forward. A good first audition for a starting spot.

Gomes - 8
Man of the match for me. Finally, we got to see more than 15-minutes of Angel Gomes, and the little playmaker did not disappoint. He looked very comfortable on the ball in all areas of the final third, and agile while running at defenders. Hopefully a sign of what's to come from him on tour as he looks to secure a regular first team spot this season.

Mata - 7
A classic Juan Mata showing, slowing the game down when needs be, playing clever passes all around to get other players involved, and almost grabbing himself a fine assists after slotting Mason Greenwood through, who then missed just wide of the target.

Greenwood - 7
A very encouraging showing for the 17-year-old, who simply cannot find the net for the United first team after doing everything right in the build up. Just like in the Cardiff game to finish last season, Greenwood was a bright spark off the right hand side, and should have ended the game with a couple of goals to his name.

Rashford - 7
A little bit more lively as the No. 9 than Martial in the first half, and showed much more movement all over the final third, asking questions of the Perth defence with his runs, and showing a great nose for goal with his snapshot left-foot finish to open the scoring in the second half.

Garner - N/A
It is tough to give Garner a number grade because he only played a few minutes towards the end after replacing Luke Shaw, but what he managed to show was certainly promising. The former U18's skipper showed a great sense of awareness with his run forward to intercept a loose ball and smash home United's second, while also winning the ball back on a couple of more occasions in the middle. He should be in line to get some more minutes as the tour progresses.
