Manchester United will begin 2020 with a massive clash at the Emirates against a bitter rival in similar circumstances to the Red Devils in recent seasons. Here's all you need to know:

Teams: Arsenal vs Manchester United
Date: 01/01/2020
Time: 20:00 GMT
Managers: Mikel Arteta and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Location: Emirates Stadium
Referee: Chris Kavanagh

Team News:
Arsenal are likely to be without Granit Xhaka who remains ill and Calum Chambers, Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney, Sead Kolasinac and Sokratis remain out. Dani Ceballos could return alongside Gabriel Martinelli and Hector Bellerin.
For Manchester United, Paul Pogba is likely to return after being rested against Burnley with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw also likely to return to the starting lineup despite excellent performances from Williams and Young at Turf Moor. McTominay is set to be out for eight weeks and will be a massive loss and while Diogo Dalot, Axel Tuanzebe, Tim Fosu-Mensah, Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly are back in training, they may not be ready to feature.

Combined XI:
GOALKEEPER: DAVID DE DEA
While he hasn't been at his best of late he is still a world class goalkeeper and one of the most consistent shot-stoppers around for the last five years. Leno has saved Arsenal countless times in his short career in North London but had a disastrous game against Chelsea.

BACK FOUR: AARON WAN-BISSAKA, HARRY MAGUIRE, VICTOR LINDELOF AND BRANDON WILLIAMS
While United's defence has been criticised for the lack of clean sheets, they actually concede far fewer shots than last year whereas the Arsenal defence has been chopped and changed and still woeful. United have nine clean sheets this season to Arsenal's six. The only Arsenal player that could be in the squad is Sead Kolasinac or Kieran Tieenwy but since both are injured the impressive and hard working Brandon Williams comes in.

MIDFIELD TWO: FRED AND PAUL POGBA
Another issue for Arsenal is their midfield and with Xhaka leaving, Ozil inconsistent and Ceballos injured for a long time, they have very limited options as United do but there is far more quality in Fred and Pogba than Torreira and Guendouzi.

WINGERS: DANIEL JAMES AND MARCUS RASHFORD
Pepe has been hugely disappointing for Arsenal and has fallen down the pecking order behind Reiss Nelson and Mesut Ozil. James and Rashford have been so crucial all season with James setting up six assists which is the highest tally for United and the fourth highest in the league and Rashford's 12 league goals makes him the top goalscorer for United and the joint third highest in the league behind only Vardy and Aubameyang.

STRIKERS: ANTHONY MARTIAL AND PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG
Aubameyang has been one of Arsenal's few bright sparks this season and will be pivotal if they are to beat Manchester United and if the reports of him wanting to leave are true, he will be severely missed by Arsenal. Martial has also been exceptional but in his general play and chance creation. He makes the other players better and is a good number nine but he does have his limitations and that is where his teammates compliment him.

Predicted Lineup:
De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire (c), Shaw, Matic, Fred, Pogba, James, Rashford, Martial

Predicted Score: 1-3 to United
