Manchester United are very close to signing La Masia player, Marc Jurado after agreeing to personal terms with him. This comes out of nowhere during this time of lockdown and if you don't know about him, that's alright, we got you covered. This article contains everything you need to know about him, which isn't a lot at the moment. Though there isn't a lot of information about him at the moment, this article contains all the useful information.

Marc Jurado
He's a 16-year-old right-back playing for Barcelona's academy, La Masia. He spent last season playing for their u16 side. Barcelona offered him a contract worth €60,000, rising to €100,000 by his third year but he has reportedly turned that down in order to force a move away, with his prime destination being Manchester United. The contract offered by Barcelona suggests they'll be sad to see him go as that's a lot of money to offer a player who isn't even eligible for a professional contract yet. He mostly plays right-back, but his pace makes him a solid player going forward as well. He'll be available to United by paying about £1.5million.

For now, he'll probably play most of his games in with the academy and be left to develop with the youngsters. Manchester United have been very prolific in the youth transfer scene with high profile signings like Arnau Puigmal, Hannibal Mejbri, Dylan Hoogerwerf all coming in in the past few years. United are also close to signing Sunderland u23 centre-forward, Joe Hugill, who's just 16. Whether these are successes or not, we'll find out in the next few years but it's always exciting to see some youngster walk in and tracking their progress with interest.

Fun fact, to end the article with, the last player or more specifically a defender, we signed from the La Masia was Gerard Pique!
