Manchester United have beaten Leicester City at the King Power Stadium 2-0 to finish the season in third place and to secure Champions League football for next season. Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard ensured that we have our second-highest finish in the league since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement. This win also ensured that our unbeaten run in the Premier League carried onto the next season. It is quite incredible how we salvaged our season from 7th place after the 25th game week to 3rd place in the end. It was a valiant effort from the boys in the final 90 minutes of the season, so let's see how they all fared!

David De Gea - 8/10

Finally a much needed clean sheet for De Gea. He made a vital save while we were 1-0 up from a close-range Harvey Barnes attempt. He sometimes looks a little short on confidence but hopefully, this clean sheet and a long break will restore his confidence.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 7/10

Wan-Bissaka made some crucial tackles and did a great job going forwards as well. The lad has a bright future ahead of him and it's quite exciting to see what kind of player he turns out to be if he perfects his crossing abilities as well.

Victor Lindelof - 9/10

The Swede was perhaps the best player on the pitch today and had Jamie Vardy in his back pocket for the whole game. He put in a massive shift when the team needed players to step up. Leicester did cause us problems at the back but Lindelof made sure that we came out on top.

Harry Maguire - 8/10

Maguire had a very good game as well. He did have a couple of questionable moments in the game but none too bad. The captain has played all 38 league matches this season which is truly commendable and he's definitely one of the reasons why we finished third.

Brandon Williams - 8/10

Williams replaced an injured Luke Shaw in the lineup and after a few average performances, did really well today. He wasn't the best defender but like the others, he did his job properly. He did try his best while attacking but lacked some technical ability. Like Wan-Bissaka, even he needs to work on his crossing and attacking play in general and I do feel he has the potential as well.

Nemanja Matic - 6/10

Our experienced defensive midfielder had quite a poor game today. He was easily dispossessed multiple times in our own half and brought unnecessary trouble to our backline. He did play some good forward passes but his game clearly showed that we need another defensive midfielder to rotate with him.

Paul Pogba - 8/10

Pogba really stepped up and played some very good football today. He's a big name signing, he's a big player and he stepped up when the team needed him. He was everywhere and sprayed balls all over the final third. This is the Paul Pogba that we signed from Juventus and hopefully, he signs that contract extension.

Bruno Fernandes - 7/10

Bruno had a poor game in general. His line-breaking passing didn't come through and all his risk-taking passes were off today and yet he still somehow managed to make the difference in the game. This is what we signed him for - to turn up even on his off days, and turn up he did!

Mason Greenwood - 7/10

Greenwood had an okay game. He did try to make things work by being dynamic when he was getting pressed out of the game. He also put in some very good defensive work and didn't wait for the ball to come to him. This is one trait of his that I love and is a sign of great maturity.

Marcus Rashford - 5/10

Marcus had an off game. He was nowhere to be seen and was largely invisible throughout the 90 minutes. He had a great chance to score earlier in the game but missed it by some distance. Apart from that, he was very poor and definitely needs to learn from this.

Anthony Martial - 7/10

The Frenchman topped off an excellent season by winning a penalty that ultimately was the breakthrough in the game. Like Rashford, he was quite anonymous the whole game but he tried harder than him and it showed.

Substitutes -

Jesse Lingard - 8/10

Possibly the last game in a United shirt for the Englishman and he scored in the last minute to seal the game for us!

Scott McTominay - N/A

Timothy Fosu-Mensah - N/A

Odion Ighalo - N/A

So that ended this absolute roller-coaster of a league season. We now head on to the Europa League games where we face the second leg of the LASK game. We are 5-0 up on aggregate which should be enough to see us through to the next round. I feel we should go all out for this Europa League trophy as a trophy is the best way to cap off a season. We have no pressure of entering the Champions League by winning it either, and it's the perfect way to get some silverware this season.
