Manchester United Vs Arsenal Player Ratings

Manchester United are now four Premier League games without a win following their 2-2 draw at Old Trafford against old rivals, Arsenal. In a very rare entertaining game involving Manchester United (these days) the Reds were forced to come from behind not once but twice to scrap a point from the Gunners to leave level.

Paul "The Virus" Pogba and Romelu Lukaku were both demoted to the bench by Jose Mourhino after the frustrating draw at Southampton Saturday, but it was another Frenchmen who stole the spotlight, Anthony Martial.

Also, Jesse Lingard stepped up to the plate for Man United in a "MUST WIN" game today. Although United didn't get the win, they stepped up when it mattered.

So with the game ending in a draw,

Who stood tall and who fell short?

Manchester United Vs Arsenal Player Ratings.

David De Gea: David De Gea had a shock moment when he was caught out by a downward header from Mustafi which lead to their opening goal, but made amends by keeping out big opportunities by Aubameyang twice. (6)

Eric Bailly: For the first time in nearly two months, Bailly was our best defender of the night for me, it looked as if he has never been away. Hard to see why he doesn't get a run of games. (7)

Diogo Dalot: I think lack of experience and a bit of confidence was a bit of an issue here. He struggled a bit with the pace but made some interceptions throughout the game and I thought his involvement was decent for a debut. (6)

Chris Smalling: Smalling was steady for me, didn't cause much trouble in the back. (6)

Marcus Rojo: Rojo made his first appearance since May. He was doing well and was even on free-kick duty which lead to a Martial goal to equalize, but gave Lacazette a goal which made it 2-1. (6.5)

Matteo Darmian: Jose Mourhino's "Emergency Man" put in a good shift and covered very well today. (6.5)

Ander Herrera: Herrera gave a assist today to Martial and did his part in pressing well. (6.5)

Nemanja Matic: I actually thought Matic kept Manchester United more balanced than usual. He kept his head and became Man of the Match. A bit debatable but it is what is is. (6)

Marcus Rashford: Rashford was driven to make things happen; his pace and energy were causing some trouble for Arsenal. He put in a very good shift tonight. (7)

Jesse Lingard: If it wasn't for Jlingz equalizer, Man Utd could of very well lost the game tonight but  he stepped up and got his goal. Manchester United are a better attacking side with Lingard through the middle. (7.5)

Anthony Martial: The Frenchmen is still on fire having scored his 8th Premier League goal of the season. It felt like everyone would stand up every time he got the ball at his feet but was forced off for Lukaku with a knock. Without a doubt our best attacker. (Sorry Lukaku)
(8)

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Paul Pogba: The virus for me. He slowed the game down a bit. Paul didn't really have much of a influence. (5)

Romelu Lukaku: Big Rom did very little. Like Pogba, didn't add much. (4)

Marouane Fellaini: Fellaini also didn't do much when brought in despite pulling Geundouzi's hair and for that, I give him a 10. HA. but seriously. (5)
